Riverview Fire Department is devoted to protecting the lives and property of our community in eastern York County, South Carolina. Our team of paid and volunteer firefighters and emergency responders are available 24/7/365 to answer the call when our neighbors need us most.
Riverview Fire was established in 1975 to meet the continously growing needs of our community. In 2018, we welcomed our second station to better serve the residents and businesses in our coverage area, and to provide better training facilities.
In 2024, Riverview responded to 1,519 calls — a 207% increase from 2020. This puts Riverview in the top 20% for call volume out of all the fire departments in the state.
Riverview is rated as a class 3 department by the Insurance Services Office (ISO). ISO classifications range from 1 (best) to 10 (worst), and are used by insurance companies to determine rates.
Rapid response to structure fires, vehicle fires, and wildland fires with state-of-the-art equipment and trained personnel.
First responder medical services providing critical care until advanced medical units arrive on scene.
Vehicle extrication, technical rescue, and emergency assistance for a wide range of situations.
Community education programs, school visits, and fire safety inspections to prevent emergencies before they happen.

No experience necessary - we provide comprehensive training! Must be at least 16 years of age.
